Join us for a special Daikokuten Service at Koyasan Beikoku Betsuin of L.A. Daikokuten is one of Japan's Seven Lucky Gods (Shichifukujin) and is widely revered as the deity of good fortune, prosperity, and household blessings. During this special ceremony, we will offer prayers for your good fortune, prosperity, family well-being, and bountiful harvests. We warmly invite all members of our community to attend and receive these traditional blessings. Prayers For:

Shichi-Go-San Service/七五三ご祈祷会

Sunday, November 15th, 1:30p.m.
Join us for a special Shichi-Go-San Prayer Service celebrating the healthy growth and well-being of children.
Shichi-Go-San is a traditional Japanese celebration for children, traditionally observed at ages 3 and 7 for girls and ages 3 and 5 for boys. All children are welcome. The service is by reservation only. Each registered child will receive an omamori (amulet) and a Chitose Candy after the service. Registration Fee: $75 per child $50 for each additional child from the same family *Please make payment to "Koyasan Beikoku Betsuin of L.A." and register by November 10. Prayer are made for our members and friends who have contributed to Higan. Saturday, October 3, 1 - 3 p.m. Registration Closed — Fully Booked (Waitlist available) THE CLASS During this family-friendly, hands-on workshop led by textile artist Setsuko Hayashi, you will explore the world of hand-dyeing by dyeing a scarf to take home. Beginners welcome, no prior experience required. All materials provided. - Be sure to wear clothes that you do not mind getting dye on THE INSTRUCTOR Setsuko Hayashi is an internationally recognized textile artist. She uses various traditional techniques in her work which has appeared in various media including movie posters, restaurant goodwill, and many other forms. Yoga & Sound Bath Class

Koyasan Buddhist Temple is offering a monthly yoga class led by Reid Yoshimura of Little Tokyo Yoga. Reid will guide you through a gentle yoga practice, followed by a soothing sound bath. We warmly invite you to join us for a relaxing and restorative hour at Koyasan Buddhist Temple.
Held on the second Sunday of every month (April 12, May 10, June 21, July 19, September 13, October 11, November 8) Time: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM Location: Koyasan Buddhist Temple Monthly Yoga & Sound Bath Class Led by Reid Yoshimura (Little Tokyo Yoga) Reservations: Please reserve via the QR code or email [email protected] Reid Yoshimura Biography: Reid Yoshimura is the teacher/founder at Little Tokyo Yoga. He earned his RYT-200 from Joan Hyman at the School of Yoga. He is a certified Sound Healer and is finishing up his 50 hour Restorative training from Jillian Pransky. His style is a well-rounded, heart-centered, meditative flow. When he’s not on the mat, he loves to be outdoors with his son Yogi, a 5-year-old mini schnauzer. |

Koyasan Boy Scout Troop 379 Eagle Scout Recyclables Fundraising

Bring in your aluminum cans and plastic bottles to Koyasan for recycling! The Boy Scouts will take contributed recyclables to a recycling center to help fund their camping needs, fun activities and service projects. The Scouts of Troop 379 appreciate your support.
